For some of you that already know your equine history and also for those that would like to expand their knowledge we have some exciting news to share with you!
First, a little bit of background information.
The Kladbury National stud farm in Czech Republic - established March 1579 was accepted into UNESCO heritage in July 2019 as the first stud farm in the world.
The Kladruber horse has been continuously bred for more than 400 years. The old-style horses were originally the only horse breed in the world specifically bred for hauling carriages of emperors and kings. The white horses were used for ceremonial purposes at the Imperial Court in Vienna, while black horses also served church dignitaries. They represent the oldest original Czech horse breed. Recently some of the horses were sold to the Danish King´s Court. One of the horses was also donated as a wedding gift for the Royals William and Kate but his home does remain at the stud farm.
The riding school situated in Kladbury known as the ‘Kladbury Nad Labem’ has only 150 pupils aged 15 to 18 years. The students focus on studying horse breeding and horse riding.
We are very excited to announce that they now have their very own Racewood Riding Simulator. The Riding Simulator will be incorporated into their school learning and help them to progress into the equine industry with a second simulator also on the way to them shortly.
On 17th September 2020 there was an official opening of the new school hall, where the simulator stands. The simulator was demonstrated in action with COVID guidelines put in place.
Racewood are delighted that one of our simulators is now a part of the historical Kladruby Riding School learning and we look forward to seeing the students advance in their learning.
